My African Story. How the cheetah got its spots. Characters – Man, cheetah, Zebra and Giraffe. Now the story begins …Once upon a time there was a cheetah and a man who lived in a cold and frosty place. It was so chilly that the man said, “Let’s run away from home because I’m sick of this weather!”
“Okay,” replied the cheetah, “But where?”
“Africa!” screamed the man, “Can’t you remember?” So off they went and traveled for one thousand days. When they arrived in Africa they were so exhausted they had to sleep for a week! Africa was so hot and dusty that the man started turning brown. A few minutes later a stripy zebra and a dotty giraffe plodded by. “
“Hey, what’s happening to that cheetah’s golden skin?” cried the zebra.
“He’s turning spotty like me!” The giraffe said. (in a shocked voice) They crept closer and saw the mans fingers (which were turning brown) cuddling the cheetah. He started moving his fingers around and left spots on his body! So that’s the story of how cheetah got his spots! – Mia
In the African planes there was this angry leopard called Lightning and there was a mouse called Timmy that was so curious. Timmy had a plan. One night in the cold frosty winter, when Lightning was sleeping on his wonderful comfortable tree, Timmy went to a store and stole some soil and stole a pot to carry the soil in. He ran out of the shop and went back to his house to get ready to pour it all over Lighting. Timmy asked his best friend Pork the Morpork to help carry the soil. When they got to Lightning’s favorite tree, Timmy asked Pork to help carry the soil and him up into the tree. When they got up into Lightning’s favorite tree, it had sparkly castle lights glowing all around them. They spread the soil all over him. Lightning was asleep. Timmy jumped onto Pork’s back and they flew as fast as the could back to Timmy’s house. The next sunny beautiful morning, Lightning woke up with a fright. He saw that someone had poured soil all over him. He shook himself off and after he had done that he saw that he had black spots all over him and he couldn’t be angry anymore. And the animals lived happily ever after. – Hayley
Here comes the lion
It was a hot day so the lion went to the pond. Then he saw three flamingoes. Then he hid behind a log. This will be a good tea. He jumped out then he let out a mighty roar. The three flamingoes zoomed off. Then he hopped into the cold refreshing pool. The three flamingoes felt sad. Then the lion saw Ele the elephant. She got scratched on the back. He got put in animal jail because Ele’s dad was a policeman. – Anya
Once upon a time in the forest a water buck lay in the shade. Water buck went to eat. There was glue on the tree. Water buck got stuck. Elephant came to help. Elephant pulled his hardest. Some tree pieces came out. Now water buck has got horns. - Jaydee
My African story of how the Springbok became so fast. Once upon a time there was a Springbok called Poppy. She saw a lion. The lion saw Poppy and ran after her. She ran for her life and when she was running, she was getting faster and faster. Soon she was as fast as lightning. (But she was not as fast as an All Black!)
