Obstacle course

For Oracy we did an amazing obstacle course. Mrs Watt thought of a brilliant idea that we could make it ourselves. First we jumped from lily pad to lily pad it was like having springs on my feet. Then it was the high jump. It was like flying in the blue sky. Then it was the squeezy chairs. I slithered along the ground. The last thing was the limbo. I could not do it. – Anya

We made an obstacle course. We jumped on lily pads. We did limbo. We went under chairs. We went over the table. It was fun. – Riley

Yesterday room 12 did an obstacle course and we started the obstacle course with the lily pads. We had to jump on them. We needed to jump over the rope which was tied on two chairs. We crawled under three chairs, it was small for me. Then we jumped into the hoops. Then we did the tight rope. – Charlee

Yesterday we made a fantastic obstacle course. First of all we jumped on the lily pads. Next we dived over the skipping rope. We squiggled and squirmed through the tunnel then we jumped inside the hoops. We also did tight rope walking. It was fun. – Ethan

Yesterday we made and did an obstacle course. We first put lily pads down to jump on, chairs to crawl and squish under, hoops to jump really high in, a straight rope to balance on, three hoops to put over us. We also crawled over the hard table and did a limbo so we had to bend under a rope. The obstacle course was lovely and exciting. I felt great. - Poppy

Just one earth

Room 12 and the Albatross community are learning about different cultures and people in our world. We are also learning to look after our world, after all - we have just one earth!

Polka Dots

On Friday the Junior School had a wonderful treat. We were visited by the Polka Dots who were there to teach us some wonderful exercises to help us to stay fit and healthy. We danced to the happy music and we pretended to be all sorts of animals. It was such fun and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thanks for a great visit Polka Dots!

Ten green bottles

Room 12 has been learning how to measure. We decided that we could not measure with our hands because our hands were all different sizes. We were going to measure with our feet, but our feet were different sizes too! What were we going to do? So we realised that we needed to use things that were all the same size - what about blocks? Great idea! Blocks would be perfect! So first we measured our books to see which ones were the tallest and the shortest. Then we measured our 10 green bottles before we hung them on the wall.We had to sort them from shortest to tallest. We got them in perfect size order. Aren't we smart!

Stu Duval visits RBS

Last week we were very lucky to have Stu Duval in to talk to us about Story Telling. He was truly amazing and very funny! We were rolling around laughing! He drew this wonderful picture for us as a setting for our story. We also learnt what a good actor does on the stage. What a splendid morning we had!
