Swimming

Room 12 went swimming at the Leisure Centre. What an adventure! We had such fun and we all learnt new skills. Some of us had to take really big risks and we had to persevere to learn new things. We had really great coaches and many parents came to watch and help us. We had a fantastic time!

Sunflowers

Sunflowers on PhotoPeach

Sunflowers on PhotoPeach

Room 12 looked at some sunflowers and we made these beautiful sunflowers for art. It took us a really long time. There was so much detail. We first created texture by glueing scrumpled up newspaper on the leaves and painted those. Then we painted smaller leaves. Lastly we painted the centres. Finally we put the whole lot together. The sunflower has warm colours, so to make a contrast, we put it on a background of cool colours. Don't they look great!
